Clinic Process

CLVP Clinics travel to various locations throughout BC, 6 times per year, to maximize the number of families who can access CLVP services. See if a clinic is scheduled for your area.

Clinics are held in a classroom-type atmosphere so that the student’s vision can be assessed from a functional perspective. The CLVP-BC team works collaboratively with the student, family and team members throughout the clinic appointment.

AT THE CLINIC

Student appointments are staggered throughout the day every 45 minutes and families and team members should expect to be there a minimum of 2 hours for the assessment and team recommendations.

Parents and Vision Teachers are expected to attend the appointment with their student to maximize the benefit.

Students must bring their current glasses and all low vision devices that they are currently using or have received in the past at a CLVP Clinic.
  • also FM system if hearing impaired
